Once it became clear that Jaclyn and Gavin wouldn’t be able to travel to their originally scheduled honeymoon destination of Sandals Royal Bahamian because of Covid-19 closures, they had to pivot and decide on a new destination in a short amount of time. Adults-only and all-inclusive were high on their list, so their agent Barb quickly found an alternative that fit their needs without having to leave the US. The Bungalows Key Largo – just an hour south of Miami, romantic, adults-only, and all-inclusive – was the perfect fit.
“Our favorite part about staying at Bungalows Key Largo was the feeling of being on a tropical island without leaving the US. As first time travelers we were weary about leaving the country for the first time, and the Bungalows offered a Caribbean feel without going too far from home! The very friendly staff and amazing food was another great part.
The highlight of our trip was taking a daily boat excursion on the Tiki Boat. We saw a sting ray, a nurse shark, and a barracuda on our tour. We also got to go paddle boarding and explore part of the Everglades.
Booking with Grueninger Travel greatly benefited our trip, as we would never have found the Bungalows Key Largo without our travel agent Barb! The resort had everything we could have wanted. Barb listened to what we liked and didn’t like and definitely delivered on one of the best vacation spots we’ve ever been to.
We would suggest waiting to book any excursions or activities until you arrive at the Bungalows. This way you can see everything offered and decide. Our other suggestion would be to book dinner times between 7:30 and 9:00 PM. We usually eat dinner between 5:30-6:00 PM but once we arrived, we realized after snacking and hanging out at the pool all day, we liked going to a later dinner where the atmosphere was more lively and we were more hungry and ready to enjoy all of the delicious food! Be sure to book your reservations ahead of your arrival.
The Bungalows Key Largo was our favorite vacation we’ve ever been on. The bungalows and restaurants were phenomenal, as well as the scenery. It was definitely a good time!"
